Bridging the Gap Between BIPOC Therapists & the Local Community
MHGC is committed to building the bridge between BIPOC therapists and the local community. Through networking, wellness and fellowship, MHGC strives to create stronger resources for those interested in improving their mental health.
Melena Saddler LMHC and Shaniece Robotham-Mayers LMHC are two Black women from NYC dedicated to the improvement of mental health for Black and Brown individuals. We started this consultation group to gather BIPOC therapists and link them with the community.
MHCG orchestrates regular events to network with BIPOC therapists within the tristate area to discuss plans for improving mental health in our communities.

With combined individual experience just over 10 years, we joined forces to address reoccurring concerns that arose within private practice. The community has been asking for more providers that look like them. We are here to provide the proof we exist.
Through networking, wellness and fellowship we have started building a strong rapport with other BIPOC therapists in the NYC area. It is our goal to create an extensive referral list for the local community.
Our motto is Black women first, Therapist after. We are providing a service we have evidence is needed. Growing up in our communities we have seen firsthand what the lack of healthy mental health can do.
If you believe in our mission and the purpose of our organization, we encourage you to connect with us.
